About
The story of 400 Conejos® begins with a native Mesoamerican religious tradition that allowed only priests to establish a channel of communication with the gods by practicing ritual drinking of beverages made from agave. The gods of the drinks were called centzon-totochtin (400 rabbits) in Nahuatl. It is believed that the spirit of the 400 rabbits carries on to this day in each bottle of this fine, award-winning mezcal. Perfect on its own or in your favorite cocktail to add a bit of smoke. Great Intro to Mezcal
I wouldn't call myself a mezcal connoisseur by any means but I have had a few between Del Maguey Vida (a super funky mezcal) and Banhez (a relatively Smokey mezcal). This one, 400 Conejos, is smooth and relatively light on the smoky flavor. I found it to be perfect paired with Chinola for a balanced passion fruit mezcal margarita - sweet, fruity, with a little smoky punch. Add a tajin rim for a well-rounded cocktail

Interesting
I wasn't sure what mezcal was but I surprisingly loved it. I served it over ice with soda water and lime and it tasted great. I even recommended it to my friends. Something different!
