Winery Notes Established in 2003, The Four Graces is committed to making rich, complex wines where the fruit may be elegantly expressed. The winery offers Pinot Noir as well as small amounts of Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc. The wines come from 2 estate vineyards - the Foley Family Estate, formerly the Black Family Estate, Doe Ridge, and other top sites in the Willamette Valley. Highly acclaimed, The Four Graces wines are hand-crafted in small lots using traditional techniques coupled with the most modern technology in winemaking. Tasting Notes The 2019 Pinot Noir showcases a beautiful ruby hue in the glass. Pleasant aromas of black cherry, red currants and hints of damp earth and rich dark chocolate. The palate exudes bright red fruit flavors of cherry and currants which are complemented by lively acidity and plenty of structure. The finish is bright with perfectly balanced acidity. True to the Willamette Valley, this is a chef's wine that will pair well with a variety of dishes. Vintage Notes The Willamette Valley experienced a mild winter and early spring. Our vineyards had a few frost events during bud break in April, but damage to the vines was minimal. The growing season was marked by a combination of warm weather and heavy precipitation in late June and early July. Steady rains in September and cool weather in October resulted in fruit hanging longer on the vine and made it more difficult to determine when to pick. 2019 was a challenging harvest, however the resulting wines deliver a surprising freshness and acidity from a cooler vintage. Vineyard Notes The fruit for this wine was sourced from the Foley Family Estate, Doe Ridge and select sites throughout the Willamette Valley AVA. The Foley Family Estate Vineyard encompasses 110 acres nestled in the Red Hills of Dundee. The Doe Ridge Estate, purchased and developed in 2005, is a 90-acre site and considered one of the most innovative new vineyards in the Willamette Valley.
