About
Tended by the winemaker’s attentive hand, each varietal grows and ripens within its own particular terruño (the Spanish word for terroir), an exceptional piece of land in the heart of the very best vineyards of Concha y Toro. A terruño is a unique, well-delimited vineyard in which a micro-climate, the chosen grape stock, a select piece of soil and the expert hand of man interact, magically creating perfect harmony and delivering unrivaled quality. PRODUCTION AREA: Block 27, Peumo Vineyard, Rapel Valley, Chile. GRAPE VARIETIES: 87% Carmenere, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc. TASTING NOTES: Dark, deep red in color, Terrunyo Carmenere has complex and elegant aromas of ripe red berries, plum, spice and a hint of tobacco. Powerful and concentrated fruit flavors reappear on the palate caressed in sweet tannins. Full in the mouth with great structure and a lingering finish. FOOD PAIRING: Enjoy the distinctive taste of Terrunyo Carmenere with tomato-based pasta, game, duck, red meat and robust cheese. RECOGNITION: Terrunyo Cabernet Sauvignon has a Wine Spectator score of 91. Vintages vary by location. The current vintage in stock will be shipped.
