I had the opportunity to travel to Jalisco to pick this barrel alongside Rodrigo Cedano Ortiz, son of Master Distiller Marco Cedano, and restaurateurs from the East Coast, and this was a clear standout that will no doubt expand what you know about tequila. The nose is a delectable greeting in this tasting experience with notes of florals, grass, cooked agave, deep citrus, and vanilla. While not overly strong, at first sip, you will notice the prominence of proof and flavor, especially as this pour comes to you at 96-proof (versus the typical 80-proof release).
