      Beyond the Label

      Sagamore Spirit finished their four-year-old Straight Rye Whiskey in Extra Añjeo Tequila barrels for additional eight months. The result is remarkably unique tequila finished whiskey with notes of agave and vanilla on the nose and honey, peppercorn, and orange citrus to taste. Pairing tequila and whiskey is always a risky move, but this was a risk worth the reward.

      Aroma

      Agave, citrus zest, spice, peppercorn, vanilla, with a warm oak finish.

      Palate

      Rich agave and sweet notes of honey paired with bitter orange, dried fig and floral notes. Spicy peppercorn creates a lasting finish.

      Ingredients
      1.5 oz Sagamore Spirit Tequila Finish Rye Whiskey
      0.5 oz Orange Liqueur
      1 oz Lime Juice
      0.5 oz Agave Nectar
      Steps
      1 Add all ingredients to a mixing glass and shake.
      2 Pour ingredients into a rocks glass filled with ice.
      3 Garnish with a lime wedge.
      4 Feel free to prepare your glass in advance with either a salted or sugared rim. Turn glass upside down and dip in a shallow dish of water, then dip in your desired rim.
