Ron Abuelo Three Angels is an elegant 12-year-old rum, finished in extra charred first-fill barrels on our highest racks. After the angels have taken their share, the rum boasts an unrivalled intensity and extraordinary richness. The soaring flavors and celestial smoothness of Three Angels comes from being finished in extra-charred barrels on the highest racks in our bodega. The sixth rack is where the equatorial temperatures can soar, dramatically increasing the interaction between the extra charred oak and our aged rum. This, in turn, increases evaporation (the angels share) and intensifies the flavors.
