      Beyond the Label

      A smooth, accessible high malt bourbon.

      The key to our non-traditional bourbon is the high malted barley content (4x more than traditional recipes!). The malted barley combines with the spicy clove of the rye and the classic rich bourbon character of the corn. Proofed using our Slow Cut® proofing process (which takes weeks rather than days) we preserve all those finer whiskey flavors. It amounts to a robust but easy-drinking sipper that’s sure to become your go-to.

      2 oz. Old Elk Bourbon
      1/2 oz. Oak Smoked Honey Simple Syrup
      5 dashes Angostura Bitters
      Garnish Orange Twist
      Steps
      1 Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and stir for 20 seconds.
      2 Strain into a double old-fashioned glass over a large ice cube.
      3 Garnish with an orange twist.
