      Beyond the Label

      M by The Macallan is the ultimate representation of the master craftsmanship that lies within the heart of The Macallan. M is a masterpiece of design brought to conception by Creative Director Fabien Baron; brought to life by Lalique’s mastery of crystal; and brought to purpose by The Macallan’s highly complex, meticulously crafted single malt Scotch whisky.

      Drawing on some of the richest casks maturing at The Macallan distillery, M is remarkably complex and intense. The deep rosewood color of the whisky derives purely from the Sherry-seasoned casks, mostly built of Spanish oak, used for maturation. The character is classic The Macallan, exquisitely rich, with flavors of dried fruit and orange zest perfectly balanced by heady notes of wood, spice, and smoke.

      Each hand-crafted, individually numbered decanter unites proven tradition with striking originality; exuding beauty, integrity, and expression at every glance.

      Tasting Notes

      Nose

      Dried fruits ripen, then soften. Vanilla accompanies green apple hand in hand. Ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon create an ensemble in the background, with strong notes of polished oak and a depth of resinous, juicy oranges.

      Palate

      The palate opens rich in wood spices, slowly showing all their viscosity. Wood smoke flits in and out.

      Finish

      The heavier raisin and sultana flavours take over, meandering to a long full finish.
