Lot No.40 captures the essence of rye, which has long been used as the flavour backbone of Canadian whisky. Rye grain produces a spicy and bold whisky, and Lot No. 40 is crafted to highlight those flavours.
This award-winning whisky makes a perfect Old Fashioned.
Product Type | Whiskey |
Style | Rye |
ABV | 48% |
Country | Canada |
Deep amber.
Sour rye bread complements the ripe Bartlett pears, warmed honey, rich vanilla, and slight floral notes.
Complex and smooth.
Heavy rye spices and white pepper unites with roasted walnuts, English Toffee, and subtle dark fruits.
Warming
2 oz oz | Lot No. 40 |
4 Dashes | Angostura Bitters |
Add 1 | Raw Sugar Cube |
Splash | Soda Water |
Garnish | Orange and Lemon Zest |
1 | Place sugar cube in base of mixing glass and soak with bitters and a small dash of soda water. |
2 | Muddle into paste. It’s ok if the sugar isn’t completely dissolved; a little sweet crunch can be nice. |
3 | Pour whisky into mixing glass and fill ¾ with hard ice. Stir 20 to 30 times. |
4 | Strain over one large cube of ice in old fashioned glass. |
5 | Squeeze orange and lemon zest across the drink to release the oils, give them a twist and use as garnish. |
