About

Winery Notes Sourced from one of California's most prestigious wine-growing regions, the La Crema Russian River Valley Chardonnay is a rich, textured, and refined white wine with balanced acidity and a lush finish. This Chardonnay captures the timeless elegance of California's Russian River Valley, with aromas and flavors of orchard fruit, citrus, and vanilla. Tasting Notes A richly textured white wine with aromas and flavors of citrus blossom, apple, nectarine, lemon meringue pie and caramel. Bright acidity balances the richness through a lingering finish. Vineyard Notes La Crema began at a time in the 1970s during which few wineries in California were making Pinot Noir, and even fewer were doing so with a single-vineyard focus. From the start, La Crema was inspired by Burgundian-style Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with a focus on small lot production that nurtured distinct flavors and balance of unique wine growing regions. Initially, La Crema focused efforts on developing wines from the Sonoma Coast, deemed the next great appellation for Pinot Noir, using artisan, boutique-style production techniques, like gentle handling, precision sorting, and crushing grapes in small batches. At La Crema, excellence in the bottle begins in the vineyard. The year 2019 marked La Crema’s 40th anniversary—fittingly its “ruby” year of eliciting the very best of the vine. This success is as much about the winery’s vision and commitment to quality winemaking, which is rooted in the vineyards and soil. As La Crema looks to the future, it will continue to focus on cool-climate Burgundian-style wines and produce appellation-specific and single-vineyard bottlings from exceptional sites in California and Oregon.
