This 12-year-old Highland Park release is a strictly limited bottling of the Single Cask Series, distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2022 in refill hogshead. The bottle is distinctly Highland Park, with a refined look welcoming you to that first pop. The nose is balanced with notes of dark fruit, pastry, floral, baking spices, light grassiness, and sea salt. As you let a dram open up, these scents evolve and expand. Many of these scents continue into flavors, with the addition of fig newton, orange pith, honey, herbal tea. On the finish, these flavors transition into stone fruit, pepper, pipe tobacco, leather, clove, and rosemary.
