Código 1530 Artesanal Mezcal expression follows the traditions of mezcal making, including agave crushed by donkey-pulled tahona wheels and copper stills used for distillation. Made with Espadin and Tobala agave, this mezcal incorporates agave harvested in different terroirs, capturing the flavors of various elevations and regions of Oaxaca. The Artesanal mezcal is then rested in Sauvignon Blanc wine barrels from Napa Valley to take advantage of the herbaceous aroma, capturing notes of floral, light woody vanilla, and citrus with hints of earth and clay and a delicate, subdued smoke. Enjoy this liquor neat, on the rocks or in your favorite cocktail, such as an Espresso Martini.
