Excellent...
I never was a Bacardi fan but then on our trip tp Puerto Rico we visited the Bacardi Distillery near Jan Juan. There I was able to taste their REAL Rum. Not the normal items many might be familiar with. I tasted the Reserva Ocho Rare 8 year old and Grand Reserva Diez Extra Rare Gold Rum 10 Year. I was stunned, Shocked that I didn't know Bacardi had such fine products. I just hadn't ever been introduced to these items. I really enjoy the 8-Year and buy it regularly. I discovered Reserve Bar and found I could get the 10-Year. It is very nice, I drink both of these Neat. I personally like the slight sweetness of these two rums. Sometimes a product may be refined or aged too much and I feel often the original taste and spirit, history is lost. The 8 and 10 year rums I mentioned here do not fall in this category. Yes these Bacardi Rums are really nice with the 10-Year similar to the 8-Year but improved with the extra aging. I personally enjoy that these rums have NOT lost what rum is about, Its character and historic charm. I approve both of these products and I compliment Bacardi for making some fine products.
