It doesn't get much more classic than a Manhattan.
At one point, it was the most famous cocktail in the world, and has been enjoyed by everyone from cocktail connoisseurs to casual drinkers for almost 150 years since its inception. Though just because something is timeless and sophisticated doesn't mean it's complicated. With just a few simple, high quality ingredients, this cocktail can be fashioned at home almost in the blink of an eye.
Often crafted with rye whiskey, this version brings out slightly sweeter and mellower notes with the inclusion of a unique bourbon from KOVAL Distillery. KOVAL Bourbon, with its organic grain mash bill of 51% corn & 49% millet, anchors the cocktail with balanced notes of vanilla, tobacco and peppery caramel. KOVAL utilizes only the "heart cut" of the distillate in their spirits, which leads to a bright, approachable flavor profile perfectly suited for this classic.
