Uncle Nearest & Du Nord
Revolver
This modern classic cocktail was created in San Francisco by bartender, Jon Santer, and became famous at one of the early speakeasies of the 2000's, Bourbon and Branch.
This recipe is a twist on the classic Manhattan, substituting coffee liqueur for the sweet vermouth and orange bitters for the traditional aromatic variety. The bold flavors of Uncle Nearest 1856, the authentic coffee flavor of Du Nord Spirits' Café Frieda and the bright citrus aromatics of Hella Cocktail Co.'s Orange Bitters are a perfect combination! For added drama, this recipe calls for a flamed orange peel. Add a hint of smokiness and surprise your friends with this always impressive finishing touch.
