Gold Rush
A simple classic but complex and nuanced in flavor profile.
The Gold Rush is a modern classic that came from the Milk & Honey bar family in the early 2000's. Typically it calls for 2 oz. of bourbon but in this case the higher proof allows for the Cocktail to work with 1 ½ oz.
HOW TO MAKE HONEY SYRUP: To make your own Honey Syrup, follow these easy instructions: - Heat: Heat 1 Part of Water in a medium saucepan until hot, but do not bring it to a boil. - Stir: Stir 2 Parts of Honey into the water frequently until it has fully dissolved and created a syrup-like consistency. - Cool: Cool the honey simple syrup to room temperature, then filter into a glass jar or bottle before storing. Simple syrup can be stored for up to 2-3 weeks in a refrigerator.
