AVUÁ TAPINHOÃ The single barrel used to produce this rare Tapinhoã aged cachaça was originally used by the master distiller's father decades ago. The large vertical cask of dark, rich wood imparts a creamy texture and delicate notes of TOASTED COCONUTS and FRESH CUT FLOWERS.
The rare spirit that is aged in barrels of a now defunct Brazilian tree - Tapinhoa. The 5000L barrel is roughly 80+ years old and was the favorite of our distiller's father to age cachaca in.
Ideal for the super nerdy drinker and ideal to sipped neat to allow for the complexities to shine through.
The tapinhoa tree was once found along the coastlines of Brazil but through deforestation, now only found in French Guiana and Suriname. Being that the barrel was restored and recommissioned, Katia's farm was grandfathered in on the legal usage of the wood
